🏠 HOME MISSION — 5-MINUTE BALL MASTERY

Grab a soccer ball and spend 5 minutes getting touches at home.

Practice:

Toe Taps → Foundations → Inside/Outside → Sole Rolls → Free Dribbling

⭐ Challenge: Can you use both feet and get your eyes up while keeping control of the ball?

You don’t need a big space or any special equipment. The goal is simply to get more comfortable manipulating the ball with both feet.

⚽ WEEKEND GAME MISSION — FIND THE SPACE

This weekend, the Mission is to look up and recognize the space around you.

When you have open space → carry the ball into it.
When pressure gets close → bring the ball under close control.

Remember:

Tight space → Close touches
Open space → Bigger touch + accelerate

The goal is not to dribble every time. We want players to recognize when the opportunity is there and make the best decision for the situation.

Parents, share the Mission before the game, then let them play, experiment, and make decisions.

❤️ PARENT TIP — PRAISE THE DECISION

At this age, players are beginning to connect their individual skills with the decisions they make in the game.

Encourage your player to use both feet, get their eyes up, and make brave decisions — even when the result isn't perfect.

Instead of only praising the outcome, try noticing the decision:

“I loved how you saw that space and went for it!”

A good decision doesn't always lead to a successful play. Giving players the confidence to keep trying helps turn their skills into game understanding.
